I'm a busy mom who is passionate about everything related to food.  Ever since I was a young girl, I have been fascinated by not only cooking, but also by food and, it's nutritional content.  My dad, who is an amazing cook (and taught me a lot of what I know in the kitchen), always called me the "fat nark" because I would try to regulate how much oil or butter he added to his recipes (even before I had any formal education in nutrition).  Today, we still differ in cooking styles a bit...I know fat is necessary, but not too much!

I believe you must love what you eat in order to have a healthy relationship with food, but certainly there are many challenges involved in figuring out what to eat.  Yet you don't need to throw in the towel and give up!  My many years of experience in professional counseling, as well as in my personal life, have provided me with the tools to help you reach your own nutritional goals and break bad habits.  I am here to help you and you CAN do it!

My Professional Background

I started my nutrition practice, Nutrition by Eve, LLC, in 2007.  I am both a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN).

After completing an internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC, I received my RD, and then my Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics from New York University. Prior to my graduate work, I attended the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

For ten years, I have privately counseled a myriad of clients in my private practice, health clubs, the New York Stock Exchange, and in doctors' offices.  I have taught Introduction to Nutrition at LaGuardia Community College in Queens, and have presented at nutritional seminars for large corporations including, but not limited to: Wachtell; Lipton, Rosen & Katz; A&E; Consumers Union; and Anderson, Kill & Olick, P.C.

My nutritional philosophy recognizes that all people have different lifestyles, eating habits, and goals.  I will work with you to make small modifications in your current lifestyle that will make a big difference in your health.

In my spare time, I can be found exercising, cooking, playing tennis, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  I live in Chappaqua, New York with my husband, Dan, and my two young girls, Hannah & Sienna.
